STEM Teacher Lawton, OK 73501 Temporary, Full-time Temporary, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated STEM Teacher for our
STEM Summer Program, Chisholm Trail:
Reading STEM Camp! The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students and providing students with the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. The Teacher is responsible for supervising, educating, and supporting students to help them accomplish learning benchmarks under the supervision of the Master Teacher. The teacher will educate on lessons that target specific skills and concepts for the STEM Summer Program. This role is essential in shaping young minds and promoting a love for learning through innovative educational practices. •This position may begin from June 29, 2026 — July 31, 2026. Responsibilities Teaches students about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and identifies creative methods to enthuse students on STEM subject matters. Designs, implements, and revises STEM-based lesson plans as needed. Evaluates students by using various methods such as including verbal or written examinations, participation, and projects. Collaborates with teachers on projects and programs as needed. Provides individual or group tutoring to students in need of additional assistance with STEM comprehension in standardized examinations. Facilitates and creates lessons plans for daily activities. Assists in maintaining accurate program records including but not limited to incident reports, administrative documentation, and daily attendance. Mediates any student disputes. Remains up to date with continued education on most recent STEM news and regularly attends seminars, workshops, and classes as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education:
A degree in Education or a related field is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned.Licensure/ Certification:
Valid Oklahoma Teacher Certificate with required certification for subject and level assigned, if applicable•Experience:
Experience working with young children in an educational setting (preferred). Experience in daycare settings or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and special education practices is beneficial. Knowledge of literacy education strategies and math instruction methods is advantageous.
