The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with mild-to-moderate disabilities in both inclusive and resource settings. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about advocacy, data-driven instruction, and fostering a Dragon Pride environment where every student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership:

Develop and implement research-based lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

IEP Management:

Lead the development of IEPs, including conducting initial evaluations, triennial re-evaluations, and annual reviews in compliance with IDEA and Oklahoma state law.

Collaboration:

Work closely with general education teachers to modify curriculum, implement accommodations, and ensure successful inclusion for students.

Data & Progress Monitoring:

Regularly assess student progress toward goals and maintain accurate records using OK EdPlan.

Behavioral Support:

Implement positive behavior intervention strategies and facilitate a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Required Qualifications Certification:

Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in

Special Education:

Mild-Moderate Disabilities (PK-12).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.

Background:

Successful completion of a national criminal history record check. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the OK EdPlan system. Strong communication skills for building partnerships with parents and guardians. Familiarity with various assistive technologies and differentiated instruction techniques.
