Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related discipline Prior experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning, emotional, and developmental challenges Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and families Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver tailored instructional programs to support individual learning goals Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies when needed Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive practices and consistent support Maintain accurate and confidential student records and IEP documentation Employ evidence-based interventions and classroom management strategies Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom atmosphere
