00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift Position Summary A busy oncology clinic is seeking an experienced Medicare/Medicaid Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their revenue cycle team. This position is responsible for managing and resolving outstanding Medicare and Medicaid claims while ensuring timely reimbursement and accurate account resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance follow-up, denial management, claims resolution, and payer communication, with specific experience working Medicaid accounts. Due to changes within Oklahoma Medicaid and the Managed Care Organization (MCO) model implemented in 2024, this role requires someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex payer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys problem-solving within revenue cycle operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Follow up on outstanding Medicare and Medicaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, or underpaid claims Work Medicaid accounts extensively, including Oklahoma Medicaid MCO plans Review EOBs, remittance advice, and payer correspondence for accuracy Submit claim corrections, reconsiderations, and appeals as needed Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues Maintain accurate account documentation within billing systems Identify trends impacting reimbursement and escalate issues appropriately Collaborate with billing, coding, and clinical staff to resolve claim discrepancies Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and clinic policies Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of medical accounts receivable or insurance follow-up experience preferred Previous Medicare and Medicaid A/R experience required Experience working with Oklahoma Medicaid and/or Medicaid MCO plans strongly preferred Oncology billing or specialty clinic experience preferred Strong understanding of medical billing, claims processing, and denial resolution Knowledge of EOBs, appeals, authorizations, and payer guidelines Proficiency with EMR and medical billing software systems Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong time management and follow-through skills Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) Supportive team environment #

Verify signatures and required information on checks. Post stop-payment notices to prevent payment of protested checks. Operate typing, adding, calculating, or billing machines. #HP1
