Special Education Teacher Job Description:

College Bound Special Education teachers provide special education support services and interventions for scholars. Special Education teachers focus on providing support for scholars aligned to their IEPs. The special education teacher is responsible for writing and managing IEPs for scholars who are on their caseload.

Responsibilities in this role:

• Teach scholars on caseload through small groups daily, one on one and in whole group settings.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction.
• Communicate with families routinely.
• Participate in a one on one coaching and development process.
• Guide the academic and social-emotional development of scholars on caseload.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers through the sharing of best practices.
