INVENTION TEACHER POSITION SUMMARY
Opening for one Camp Invention Teacher. Camp Invention is a 5-day STEM program incorporating academic support and enrichment activities for students entering 4th
  • 6th grades.
CAMP INVENTION DATES
Monday thru Friday beginning July 13, 2026
  • July 17, 2026, from 8:30 a.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. (student time 9:00 a.m.
  • 3:30 p.
m.)
Additional Days:
1/2 Day Prep between July 6, 2026
  • July 10, 2026.
1/2 Day Clean Up after July 10, 2026.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES OF SUMMER STAFF
Leadership qualities and/or experience. Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and facilitation skills, including creative problem solving and mediating skills. Ability to apply effective instructional and management practices to direct and motivate all students. Flexible and adaptable; comfortable working with K
  • 6th grade students; highly ethical with a strong sense of integrity and fairness; advocate for kids; willingness and ability to make time commitments.
Familiarity with alternative educational opportunities such as play based, project based, and experiential learning.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF SUMMER STAFF
Ability to physically perform job duties. Ability to hike and supervise students on physical excursions. Frequently required to walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
SALARY INFORMATION
Certified – Daily Stipend $305.00. (Up to 6 days calculated.)
DISTRICT POLICY
It is the district's policy to provide veterans and disabled veterans with preference as required by law.
