Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs. We are seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers eager to work onsite and actively contribute to student growth and well-being. Positions are available to support unique caseloads: one with about 25 students in small group and 1:1 settings, and another focusing on a smaller group of approximately 5 students with higher behavioral support needs in a more individualized environment. A potential third position may also become available.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience with individualized education programs (IEPs) and effective case management Skill in both small group and 1:1 teaching environments Demonstrated ability to support students with a range of behavioral needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and administration Commitment to working fully onsite; virtual services are not an option
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual learning needs in small groups and 1:1 settings Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations Maintain clear records, case notes, and documentation Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to establish a supportive learning environment Provide behavioral support and proactive strategies to optimize student participation and growth Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities Working in these roles means directly shaping the educational experience for exceptional students, promoting inclusion and fostering positive outcomes.
