Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A full-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students within a school setting in Dallas, Oregon. This position offers the chance to work with diverse caseloads, either in self-contained classrooms or resource settings, providing individualized educational support to students with special needs. The role requires strong collaboration, a positive attitude, and a commitment to student growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines Manage caseloads for K-12 students, either in self-contained or resource classroom environments Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, families, and other stakeholders to support student learning Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student performance and compliance Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students with disabilities
Qualifications:
Valid Oregon Special Education Teacher credential Experience working with K-12 special education students and managing IEP caseloads Ability to perform all general duties related to Special Education teaching Strong work ethic with a growth mindset and a positive, student-focused attitude Excellent communication and organizational skills
