Full Job Description Behavior Support Specialist:
$26-31/hr Senior Haven is looking for compassionate, hard-working and talented people to join our team. We offer competitive wages, excellent benefits, and generous paid time off. We are seeking an individual who is familiar with Positive Behavior Supports and managing Behavioral Health and will work directly with Individuals to resolve conflicts that lead to behavioral concerns or that jeopardize Individual safety. In addition, this individual will assist in screening all referrals, as well as provide person centered strategies, activities and supports. Responsibilities include evaluating, developing, documenting, training, and providing services to address Individual behaviors, as well as development, coordination and implementation of Person Centered Evaluations, Functional Assessments, Positive Behavior Support, education and treatment of substance use disorders for Individuals and their identified support network and ensure direct care staff training. You will have the opportunity to provide services to a diverse group of adults with mental health and co-occurring medical and/or substance use conditions. This includes individuals with a variety of diagnoses or experiences including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, Bi-polar disorder, and psychosis. Our team provides collaborative team-based care, so you will work closely with case managers, psychiatry providers and RN's for treatment planning and service coordination.
What You Will Bring:
Knowledge of or experience with : • Preparing concise and complete assessments, service plans and documentation related to client treatment, progress and services in a timely and professional manner. Working effectively both independently and in a team setting. Screening, assessing and diagnosing clients for services. Writing person centered and positive behavior support plans Working with a population that experiences medical and behavior complexities Skill in : • Effective written and verbal communication. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, residents and their families, other agencies, and the public at all times. Strong managerial skills and experience. Acting professionally with regard to code of ethics and confidentiality. What We Are Looking For :
A Bachelor's degree occupational therapy, psychology, social work, or behavioral science.
And / Or
proven experience providing support and services to a behavioral population

Education and experience which demonstrates the competencies to identify precipitating events; gather histories of mental and physical disabilities, alcohol and drug use, past mental health services; assess family, social and work relationships; and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy within the scope of practice. In addition to your related work experience and education, we will use the attributes below as part of final scoring to advance those that qualify to the interview portion. Pay:
$26.00 - $31.00 per hour
