Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026-2027 academic year. Deliver essential educational support to students across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties in Southern Oregon. This contract opportunity accommodates both in-person and virtual (VOCO) service delivery, allowing flexibility to match your professional preferences and students' needs. Your expertise will ensure that students who are blind or visually impaired receive specialized instruction tailored for their individual learning requirements. Engage with a supportive network of educators and contribute to an enriching academic environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure (required) Experience working with children who are blind or visually impaired, preferably in educational settings Proficiency in delivering instruction to a K-12 caseload, adapting materials and strategies for varied age groups Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families Comfort providing services in-person and/or through virtual platforms
Key Responsibilities:
