Key responsibilities include:

Delivering tailored instruction to secondary students (grades 9-11) with cognitive disabilities, utilizing a life skills curriculum. Support staff including paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides assist in classroom management and individualized attention. Providing supplemental autism support for middle and high school learners demonstrating higher-functioning autism spectrum traits. Instruction focuses on core academic subjects with co-teaching alongside paraprofessionals and 1:1 support to meet social and learning needs. Facilitating elementary-level autism support with a focus on students in grades 2-3. Managing a range of communication abilities including verbal and AAC device users, with behavioral supports as required. Work closely with Personal Care Assistants to ensure individualized care.

Daily schedules:

Secondary roles operate from 7:25 AM to 2:45 PM, structured around 70-minute instructional blocks with dedicated prep and intervention time. Elementary role runs from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, including prep and lunch periods.
