Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. What we're looking for: Certification in Special Education in Pennsylvania, or a valid Emergency Permit with active program enrollment toward certification Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of one of the participating school sites Comfortable and experienced working with students exhibiting a range of abilities, including moderate to severe needs and behavioral challenges Ability to fully commit to the ESY schedule, including orientation/set-up (June 23-25, 2026) and instructional days (June 29-July 30, 2026), Monday through Thursday Willingness to adapt to different classroom assignments and grade levels as determined by program needs Strong professionalism, punctuality, and an understanding of PA DOE credentialing processes Your daily responsibilities will include: Collaborating with staff to create a supportive learning environment for students with varying needs Designing and implementing individualized lesson plans and accommodations Managing classroom behavior and fostering student development Maintaining clear records and collaborating with families and related services Participating in all orientation, planning, and professional development as scheduled This contract runs for 26 hours each week, with classroom hours from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Thursday.
