Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Start your day with purpose as a Special Education Teacher supporting preschool students for an upcoming leave coverage. In this role, you'll be working in a dedicated classroom, providing instruction and care for young learners. This opportunity centers on making a real impact in the lives of children with varied needs within an established, supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with preschool or early elementary students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for students with diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families and staff Compassion, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach and support preschool special education students based on individual learning plans Design engaging instructional activities for both morning and afternoon sessions Monitor and document student progress toward individualized goals Foster a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators to ensure student success Communicate regularly with families about student achievements and daily experiences This position offers a consistent schedule from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, with students attending in two sessions—8:00-10:30 am and 12:20-2:50 pm—providing variety and structure to your day.
