K-8 Special Education Teacher

The Robert Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School in Erie, Pa is seeking an ambitious, hardworking K-8 grade Special Education Teacher who is dedicated to the education of our students. Applicants must possess an applicable Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification. R.B. Wiley CCS is looking for educators with well-crafted classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students. This person will be responsible for the following:

• Developing IEPs
• Working with individual students and small groups
• Proficiency in all four domains of the Danielson Framework including planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction and professionalism
• Extensive use of technology including the use of Smartboards, iPads, laptops and remote learning platforms
• Participating in professional learning communities and group collaboration
• Participating in all school community events, including those that take place in the evening
• Participating in all professional development opportunities throughout the school year
• Engaging parents, guardians and families in a meaningful and respectful manner
