Teacher - Extended School Year Program

Position Summary WFS is currently looking for a Extended School Year Teacher for our Education Program to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop to their full academic potential. To work in conjunction with behavioral health staff to provide a safe, therapeutic environment that meets the needs of all students. This position is a temporary summer program in the month of July. $27/hr The program is June 8-July 16, Monday through Thursday from 9a-12p. Off the week of June 29 Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org/careers) Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiated instruction. Works collaboratively with behavioral health staff to: Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Provide appropriate feedback on work. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor Degree in related field from an accredited college or university required Special Education preferred Experience 1 year teaching experience at the level/specialty area under consideration is preferred 1 year experience working with special education population preferred Licenses, Certifications & Clearances • FBI, State Criminal and State Child Abuse Clearances • Valid PA drivers' license How to Apply Candidates may apply via Indeed, but please also visit our website https://wfspa.org/careers for full job details and to start the WFS online application.
