Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Kindergarten Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational years. In this vital role, you will create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment that promotes early childhood education and supports holistic development. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, and social skills. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that encourage respect, cooperation, and curiosity. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding. Support children with diverse needs by applying special education techniques and working with individuals with autism or those requiring early intervention services. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and standardized testing preparations to monitor student progress. Mentor students through tutoring sessions, individualized attention, and tailored activities that promote literacy, numeracy, and overall development. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and developmental milestones while ensuring compliance with education administration policies. Engage families through clear communication skills to update on progress and foster a supportive partnership in each child's educational journey. We are a Classical Catholic Education School. Teach the Catholic Religion class to the Kindergarten class. Must be a practicing Catholic. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings or private schools is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori or other specialized educational approaches such as library services or early intervention techniques. Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively using behavior management strategies suited for early learners. Experience integrating learning technology tools into lesson planning and instruction to enhance student engagement. Familiarity with curriculum development across core subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Strong writing skills for documenting student progress and preparing reports for parents or guardians.
