Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Early Head Start Teacher, where you will play a vital role in nurturing the developmental growth of infants and toddlers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to create a positive, engaging learning environment that fosters early childhood development, literacy, social-emotional skills, and physical well-being. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will design and implement age-appropriate curriculum, collaborate with families, and support children's individual needs through innovative teaching strategies. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners and contribute to their foundational success in life. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to infants and toddlers that promote childhood development, early intervention, and literacy education. Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and physical activity through activities like teaching physical education and toddler care routines. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate with families to support child welfare, share progress updates, and incorporate family input into lesson planning. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's developmental milestones and identify early intervention needs. Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, health information, and classroom activities in compliance with program standards. Engage in continuous professional development related to early childhood education, special education practices, or other relevant areas to enhance teaching effectiveness. Qualifications At least a CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) or an associates degree in Early Childhood Education Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development strategies. Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activities and promote social-emotional learning. Prior classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is required; experience in daycare or private school environments is preferred. Pay:
$16.02 - $19.17 per hour
