Desired Skills & Experience:
Current certification/licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with blind and visually impaired students across K-12 settings preferred Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to implement and adapt Braille and assistive technology instruction Strong communication and case management skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and academic support to students with visual impairments Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources Contribute to developing and updating IEPs Provide orientation and mobility guidance when applicable Offer consultative support to general education teachers as needed Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
