- 30/hour About This Role The young man you'd be supporting lives in Paoli with his family.
He has complex physical and medical needs and requires total assistance with personal care, mobility, and feeding. He has clear preferences, responds to familiar people, and notices when the people in his day are actually engaged with him. The right person for this role brings warmth to the hands-on care and uses the rest of the shift to engage with him as a person. That can look like talking with him throughout, narrating what's happening around him, sharing what's on TV, exploring new music or sounds, or finding ways to bring sensory and social input into his evening. Personal care done with attention is part of the relationship. The Schedule Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm. 16 hours per week. If you are looking for full-time hours, we may be able to combine this shift with other cases on our caseload to build out a full schedule. What You'll Actually Do Provide total assistance with activities of daily living, including toileting (including suppository administration and bowel management), hygiene, feeding, and repositioning for comfort Assist with safe lifting and transfers Monitor and document health changes, including seizure activity and recovery on PT days Communicate with his family at the start and close of each shift about his status and how the day went Engage him relationally throughout the shift through conversation, TV, music, and sensory exploration Adjust the energy and demand of the session to match his health and fatigue on a given day What Makes This a Great Fit For You You have prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and complex physical or medical needs You're comfortable with personal care and approach it with dignity and attention You understand safe lifting and body mechanics and can do this work without putting yourself or him at risk You're patient, dependable, and warm. Candidates with active CNA certification are eligible for higher rates within the $23 to $30 range based on experience and credentials. Requirements While the role does not require it, an active CNA or RNA is preferred, and candidates with these credentials are eligible for higher pay within the posted range. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Physically capable of safe lifting and transfers Comfortable with personal care, including bowel management routines Reliable, consistent, and communicative Experience supporting individuals with complex physical or medical needs strongly preferred All staff must complete clearances and onboarding requirements Benefits Flourish offers both part-time and full-time employment.
