Teacher - Extended School Year Program Wesley Family Services - 3.1 Pittsburgh, PA Job Details Part-time $26 - $27 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Referral program Retirement plan Qualifications Driver's License Bachelor's degree Teaching Full Job Description Position Summary WFS is currently looking for a Extended School Year Teacher for our Education Program to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop to their full academic potential. To work in conjunction with behavioral health staff to provide a safe, therapeutic environment that meets the needs of all students. This position is a temporary summer program in the month of July. Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org/careers) Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiated instruction. Works collaboratively with behavioral health staff to: Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Provide appropriate feedback on work. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor Degree in related field.
