Grade levels vary by assignment and include K-5, 6-12, and K-12 caseloads. Compensation and Benefits All opportunities are full-time positions with a minimum of 30 hours per week throughout the school year, which is approximately 36 weeks in duration. Compensation packages include a competitive hourly rate combined with tax-free travel stipends for eligible travelers. Weekly earnings typically range from $1,300 to $2,300 depending on assignment location, prior experience, educational background, and other qualifying factors. Responsibilities Travel Special Education Teachers will provide instructional support and academic accommodations aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Responsibilities include developing and maintaining IEP documentation, collaborating with general education staff and related service providers, and implementing classroom strategies that promote student success. Teachers may work with students who have behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, developmental delays, or other exceptionalities. Additional duties may include monitoring student progress, participating in meetings with families and school personnel, and maintaining compliance with district and state education standards. Classroom assignments and caseload expectations will vary depending on the school district and grade level. Requirements Applicants must hold an active Special Education Teaching license in at least one U.S. state to be considered for these travel assignments.
