Full Job Description About Us:
At Aspire Community Services, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) through compassionate and effective support. Our team is committed to fostering an environment that promotes independence, inclusion, and personal growth. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team under the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).
Position Overview:
As a Behavioral Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing individualized behavior support plans that enhance the quality of life for our clients. You will work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to assess behavioral needs, provide training, and ensure the consistent application of behavior management interventions and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Collaborate with clients, families, and team members to implement behavior intervention strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and make necessary adjustments. Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on best practices in behavior management. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and program outcomes in compliance with ODP regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in the field of behavioral health and IDD services.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling, or a related field. Valid certification or willingness to obtain licensure in behavioral health, such as LBS, or similar credentials. Experience working with individuals with IDD and their families. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach. Knowledge of ODP regulations and ethical considerations in behavioral support.
