Job Description

Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a Gifted Intervention Specialist position(s) available at Wyandot Run Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. This position provides instruction directly to gifted students and/or in collaboration with classroom teachers for the majority of the work day. In addition, this provides time for consultation services for building staff members. Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure (i.e., Gifted Intervention Specialist) or each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

Certified, 185-day employment contract Qualifications for the position include: Valid and appropriate Ohio teaching certificate/license Valid gifted intervention specialist license Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate Internal candidates (currently employed by Olentangy Schools) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring).
NOTE:
If you are an ESC employee, intern, off-staff advisor/coach, short- or long-term substitute, or student teacher you must apply as an external candidate. External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application". Keep in mind that the Teacher Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
