Clermont, Minneola, East Clermont, and nearby Lake County areas Join the Pink Pack as an Experienced Pet Care Leader Pawsitively Pink Pet Services is looking for an experienced pet care professional who can grow into a Team Lead, Field Trainer, and Field Support Specialist role. This is not an entry level "I love animals" position. Loving animals matters, but this role also requires professional judgment, calm communication, reliability, leadership, and the ability to understand the real challenges of in home pet care. Our Team Lead needs to know the job from the ground up. That means completing visits, understanding pet behavior, following detailed care plans, communicating clearly with clients and team members, and being willing to step in when last minute call outs or coverage needs happen. This is a part time supplemental income position only . It is not a full time role, and we cannot guarantee a specific number of hours each week. Hours will vary based on client demand, team coverage needs, seasonality, and availability. Our Biggest Current Coverage Needs This role must include field availability during our highest need visit windows.We are especially hiring for:
Weekday mornings from 7 AM to 11 AM. Tuesday through Saturday morning availability. Weekend availability, especially Sundays. Clermont 34711, Minneola, East Clermont, and nearby areas.Ideal availability includes:
Several weekday mornings from 7 AM to 11 AM. At least every other weekend. Sunday availability strongly preferred. Monday morning availability is a plus. Some midday flexibility between 11 AM and 3 PM is helpful. Willingness to help with last minute call outs when available. Some availability for team communication, scheduling support, or field troubleshooting after training. Applicants with professional pet care experience and consistent morning or weekend availability will be prioritized. Important Role Expectations This position is for someone who understands that leadership in pet care is not just a title. A Team Lead may be asked to: Cover last minute call outs when available. Help communicate with clients or team members when owners are unavailable. Support the team during schedule changes, access issues, pet behavior concerns, or urgent field questions. Help troubleshoot visits in real time. Understand the emotional and logistical pressure of the job. Stay calm, kind, and clear when things do not go as planned. Set the example for visit quality, professionalism, and communication. We need someone who can be trusted in the field and behind the scenes. Who We Are Looking For The right person may have experience as a: Professional pet sitter. Dog walker. Veterinary assistant or technician. Kennel or boarding team member. Dog daycare team member. Animal rescue or shelter worker. Grooming assistant. Dog trainer or training assistant. Pet care manager, shift lead, or team lead. Professional animal care experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do in the Field Complete dog walks and in home pet care visits. Care for dogs, cats, and other household pets. Follow detailed care plans and safety protocols. Handle shy, anxious, senior, or special needs pets with patience and professionalism. Administer basic medications when appropriate and trained. Send clear visit notes and photos through our app. Communicate concerns quickly and professionally. Help identify behavior, safety, access, or routine concerns before they become bigger problems. Leadership, Training, and Communication Support As you grow into the role, responsibilities may include: Shadowing and training new team members. Helping team members understand visit flow, safety expectations, and care standards. Supporting quality control on visit notes, photos, and client updates. Helping organize sitter handoffs and client care details. Assisting with scheduling support and coverage planning. Helping identify coverage gaps before they become emergencies. Supporting team communication and field troubleshooting. Providing feedback to leadership about sitter readiness, pet behavior, and client needs. Helping with client or team communication when owners are unavailable. This role is ideal for someone who can be both caring and clear. We need someone who can coach kindly, communicate directly, and keep standards high without making the team feel small. What We're Looking For Professional animal care experience. Strong judgment and calm decision making. Excellent written communication. Comfort with technology, apps, schedules, and detailed notes. Ability to work independently and support a team. Confidence handling pets with different sizes, needs, temperaments, and comfort levels. Understanding of safe, humane, force free handling. Reliability during mornings, weekends, and peak travel seasons. Willingness to help with last minute coverage when available. A leadership mindset without an ego. Kindness, accountability, and attention to detail. Pay and Tips Pay range is $16 to $19 per hour plus tips , based on experience, availability, leadership ability, and responsibilities. Team members may also participate in our tip pool. Details will be discussed during the interview process.Please note:

Smartphone with data. Comfortable driving between client homes. Comfortable entering client homes alone and following safety protocols. Able to work outdoors in Florida weather. Live near Clermont, Minneola, East Clermont, or within a reasonable drive of our main service area. Background check and references required. Training and Growth Pawsitively Pink provides onboarding, shadowing, and continued training. We care deeply about safe handling, thoughtful communication, personalized routines, and clear team communication. This position has growth potential for the right person. We are looking for someone who can help us strengthen field training, support team communication, assist during urgent coverage situations, and eventually help with scheduling or admin tasks.
