Function of Position:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Intern to support classroom facilitation and course administration. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in learning management systems, instructional support, and educational program administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for education and service. •This is a part-time, temporary position
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with uploading course materials, tracking student progress, updating content, and troubleshooting access issues. Provide in-class support to instructors by distributing materials, moderating discussions, and assisting with breakout activities. Record and maintain accurate student attendance for all sessions. Assist instructors in grading assignments, projects, and quizzes based on established rubrics. Respond to student questions regarding coursework, deadlines, and logistics. Gather and organize student evaluations to support continuous improvement. Support classroom setup, scheduling, and other course-related administrative needs. Troubleshoot basic technical issues during classes, including audio-visual setup and connectivity. Coordinate with alumni on follow-up activities and program engagement. Assist with managing phone calls, emails, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficiency with MS Office and Excel. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated interest in education and service-oriented roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle. Previous experience in tutoring, teaching assistance, or classroom support. Basic knowledge of troubleshooting classroom technology (projectors, AV systems, Zoom, etc.). Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Additional Information:
Starting Salary:
$18.00-$24.00 per hour based on credentials
Time:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - 21 hours per week
