Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | North Carolina 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Burnsville, NC 28714 Remote Part-time, Contract ProCare Therapy 311 reviews Part-time, Contract Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time position is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role is designed to provide specialized instruction to a kindergarten student with visual impairments through virtual sessions. The student primarily speaks Spanish, making bilingual skills highly advantageous. This contract-based opportunity offers a flexible schedule of 6 hours per week, divided into four 1.5-hour sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instructional support to a visually impaired kindergarten student via telehealth platforms Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to visual impairment Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to enhance student learning Collaborate remotely with families and educational staff to monitor progress Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly regarding student development
Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience teaching visually impaired students, preferably at the early childhood level Proficiency in telehealth and virtual instructional methods Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English to effectively support language needs Strong communication and engagement skills in a remote learning environment
