A leading Vermont school is seeking an experienced Special Education Case Manager/Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. In this full-time contract position, you'll coordinate support for high school students across two grades, ensuring their educational journeys are thoughtfully managed and fully compliant. Your expertise will help shape individualized plans and support collaboration among educators, families, and service providers—all via a remote setting. Strong communication and organizational talents are essential for managing caseloads and guiding IEP processes seamlessly.
Key Qualifications:
Current Vermont Special Educator license Proven experience as a virtual SPED case manager in Vermont, including remote work Demonstrated skill in IEP writing, compliance, and case management Exceptional organizational abilities matched by clear, professional communication Ability to collaborate with a focused, multidisciplinary team Two references from supervisors in a virtual SPED setting
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary case manager for 45 high school students (across two grades) remotely Lead and coordinate IEP meetings, evaluations, and timely re-evaluations Develop, write, and maintain compliant IEPs, monitoring student progress and meeting timelines Foster weekly communication with teachers, staff, and families to drive student growth Interpret academic and behavioral data to inform IEP development and support strategic decision-making Ensure all accommodations and modifications are in place and consistently implemented Imagine a role where your detail orientation and commitment truly matter—where your leadership guides educational teams, students, and families throughout the school year.
