Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a pivotal Special Education teaching role supporting a single middle school student with significant behavioral challenges. Located near Louisville, GA, this full-time contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact, backed by in-class assistance from a dedicated para. The assignment runs through the new school year with a commitment of 30 hours per week, designed for those passionate about supporting complex learning and behavioral needs.
Skills & Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) teaching license (please confirm specific endorsements required) Experience working with middle school age students High degree of comfort and skill in managing aggressive behaviors Commitment to individualized support and ongoing student progress Strong collaboration skills to work alongside classroom paras Flexibility and adaptability in challenging situations
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support for one middle school student with severe behavioral needs Implement and monitor behavior management strategies, providing consistent, structured support Collaborate daily with a supportive para to ensure student safety and educational growth Document progress, behavioral incidents, and interventions as required Engage in regular communication with caregivers, school staff, and relevant professionals to support holistic student development Participate in any required school or district onboarding procedures Travel professionals are encouraged to apply!
