Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting near Northfield, VT for the 2026-27 academic year. You'll be working in-person, fostering growth, inclusion, and success for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Fully credentialed to meet current state licensure and certification requirements for Special Education. Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment is highly valued. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families. Flexible approach—a variety of caseloads will be available and discussed further during the interview process. Commitment to in-person instruction (remote/virtual is not an option for this opportunity).Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique strengths and challenges. Deliver engaging instruction and targeted interventions in alignment with best practices. Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to support differentiated learning styles and needs. Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and communicate regularly with families and staff. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering classroom environment.Schedule & Term:
Full academic year: August 28, 2026 - June 18, 2027 37.5 hours per week, offering stability and consistency.
