Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make a lasting difference in the lives of students across grades as a contract Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This fully remote opportunity allows you to provide essential instruction and support from anywhere, connecting virtually to learners in a supportive district-wide setting. You'll engage with a manageable caseload of 10-15 students, ranging from elementary through high school, helping them thrive academically and develop effective communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Tennessee Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license Skilled at providing virtual instruction and support to diverse K-12 students Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities Confident with technology and virtual learning platforms Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage a district-wide caseload effectively
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, customized lessons for deaf and hard of hearing students via virtual/classroom platforms Collaborate with general educators, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress and inclusion Adapt educational materials and techniques to meet individual student needs Monitor and report on student growth, maintaining clear and regular communication with families and educational stakeholders Advocate for accessible learning environments and student accommodations
Position Highlights:
