REPORTS TO
Center Director SALARY $53,740LOCATION San Benito, TXJOB TYPE Full-Time - Temporary
WORK SCHEDULE
Up to 6 Days per Week Days per week, 40 Hours per week, 12 Months per year General Description Teachers promote and advance the social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development and learning of infants and toddlers. Teachers are expected to provide a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting in the classroom and outdoor play areas; develop individual goals for children, provide on-going assessment on progress and facilitate transition into educational setting. Teachers encourage parent engagement in the development and growth of their child. In addition, teachers are expected to complete a professional development plan that may include university credentials. About You The ideal candidate for our program is: A self-motivated and dedicated person who is excited and passionate about helping infants, toddlers, and families grow in development and in education.

You are a personable, energetic, and empathetic leader who can manage multiple staff, managers, and multiple projects in a prior project in a prioritized manner to meet our internal Urban Strategies goals of all current Head Start Performance Standards. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Child Development with Infant and Toddler DevelopmentMinimum two (2) years of successful experience as an infant/toddler teacher or caregiver - 12 grades.

Basic computer skillsTexas State Teacher CertificationMust be able to work flexible hours, holidays, and weekends.

Able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors.

Must have a Valid Drivers License, Personal Vehicle, and Liability Insurance required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish)Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Early Childhood Education models and standards.

Bachelors degree in the field of Education, Kinesiology, Elementary/ Early Childhood Education. Masters degree in EducationMust be certified in teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English to Speaker of other Languages. What Youll Be Doing Provide direct education formation to one cohort of youth.

Maintain sensitivity to the culture of each youth.

Focus educational interventions on the initial outcomes of educational assessment conducted when each youth is admitted to the program.

Attend and monitor education field trips.

Attend required staff meetings and trainings.

Upon request, this role may be required to travel with UAC, 14 and under, to locations in the United States.
