Full-time We are seeking a Virtual Special Education Teacher for a school-based position serving students in Virginia . This role is fully remote and will support students with individualized learning needs through virtual instruction, IEP services, and collaboration with school teams. The teacher will provide specialized instruction, support IEP goals, monitor student progress, and ensure students receive appropriate academic and behavioral support in a virtual learning environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold an active Virginia teaching license with Special Education certification/endorsement .
Key Responsibilities:
Provide virtual special education instruction to students based on their IEP goals and service minutes. Develop, implement, and support individualized education plans. Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers, families, case managers, and related service providers. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other required school meetings. Modify and adapt lessons to meet student needs in a virtual setting. Maintain consistent communication with students, families, and school staff. Use online learning platforms and digital tools to deliver engaging instruction.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is organized, tech-comfortable, and confident delivering special education services online. They should be able to build strong virtual relationships with students while keeping IEP compliance tight and instruction meaningful.
