Wrap Around Teacher Location:
Central Falls, RI, 02863 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wrap Around Teacher to join our team in Central Falls, RI. The Wrap Around Teacher will work with children aged 4 and 5 years old, providing care and educational support before and after they attend our internal Rhode Island State Pre-Kindergarten program. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during these extended hours. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children aged 4 and 5 before and after the RIPK program sessions. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and RIPK program staff regarding children's progress and needs. Support children's transitions between the wrap around care and the RIPK program. Observe and document children's behavior and development to inform program planning. Follow all licensing and program policies and procedures. Qualifications Experience working with young children, preferably ages 4 and 5. Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Reliable, patient, and attentive to children's individual needs. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
