  • Part-time, Contract We are looking to start homeschooling my twin boys currently 9 years old starting next school year (4th grade).
I am planning to find a current teacher and employ them for our family starting in August. This would be a M-F 9-1pm position. This is more about the role. If you are interested I would love to discuss more!
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate homeschool teacher to provide a personalized, hands-on education for our 9-year-old twin boys as they enter 4th grade. The ideal candidate has a background in education, early childhood development, special education, behavioral education/therapy or teaching and is excited about creating a dynamic, engaging, and play-based learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a customized 4th-grade curriculum that aligns with educational standards while allowing flexibility for child-led learning. Incorporate outdoor adventures, hands-on projects, and experiential learning into daily lessons. Foster creativity and problem-solving through play-based and exploratory activities. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's learning style and interests. Plan educational trips, nature adventures, and community-based learning experiences. Provide one-on-one instruction in core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, social studies). Encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and a love for learning. Track progress and provide regular updates on academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (preferred). Experience as a teacher, tutor, homeschool educator, or in an early childhood learning environment. Ability to adapt teaching methods to fit different learning styles and needs. Loves the outdoors and is comfortable incorporating nature-based learning and physical activities into the curriculum. Strong communication and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred). Expereince wiht
