This full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers a chance to make a measurable impact in a highly structured Emotional Disabilities (ED) classroom.
What You'll Bring:
Valid South Carolina Special Education certification or eligibility A background in ED, behavioral, or alternative education settings is highly desirable Proven strength in classroom management and the ability to implement positive intervention strategies Calm, composed presence with a student-centered attitude, even in challenging situations Dedication to supporting both academic growth and social-emotional development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual IEP goals Implement behavior intervention plans and de-escalation techniques to ensure a therapeutic classroom environment Foster consistency and structure, supporting self-regulation and resilience in students Collaborate with behavioral specialists, school administrators, and support teams to ensure holistic student support Keep meticulous records and participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to each student's growth plan In this dynamic role, your ability to remain consistent and empathetic makes all the difference.
