Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An opportunity awaits for an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher to make a positive impact on high school students. This full-time, contract role will focus on providing essential educational support within a school-based environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a Special Education Resource Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering individualized instruction to meet students' unique learning needs. In this position, you will have the chance to support students through resource sessions, both in small groups and within general education classrooms, fostering their growth in core academic areas. Qualifications and Experience Active or pending South Carolina Special Education certification Background in a resource or inclusion classroom, preferred Strong ability to collaborate with teachers and support staff Effective instructional and classroom management skills Capability to track progress and adjust programming to support academic and behavioral growth Key Responsibilities Deliver targeted instruction in reading, math, and additional subjects aligned with IEP goals Work collaboratively with general and special education staff to provide support and consultation within the classroom setting Monitor each student's progress with organized and accurate record-keeping Participate actively in IEP meetings, assisting with compliance and goal-setting Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs This role provides the satisfaction of supporting student success while working in a welcoming, team-oriented school setting.
