Special Education Teacher Camden, SC 29020 $23.28 - $28.04 an hour - Full-time $23.28 - $28.04 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Special Education Teacher and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will develop and implement tailored instructional strategies that foster growth, independence, and confidence among students with disabilities. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with families, therapists, and school staff to enhance learning experiences for children at various developmental stages. Duties Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals, focusing on literacy, math, social skills, and functional life skills. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and sensory supports into daily instruction. Utilize learning technology and adaptive tools to support diverse learning styles and developmental needs of students with disabilities. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly. Implement early intervention strategies for toddlers and preschoolers to promote developmental milestones in communication, motor skills, and social interaction. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, conduct regular IEP meetings, and communicate effectively with families about their child's development and achievements. Qualifications Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children who have autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and special education laws. Experience in curriculum development tailored for learners with diverse abilities across preschool to early elementary levels. Familiarity with speech therapy techniques, behavioral health interventions, and working with individuals with disabilities. Ability to incorporate learning technology into lesson planning and classroom activities effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external specialists. Prior experience in daycare or private school settings is a plus; Montessori or preschool experience is highly valued. Salary and Benefits:
Full-time, 190 school calendar days, $40,000-$48,500.00/year,
