Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students for the upcoming school year. This contract position spans from July 29, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Two positions are available, providing the chance to foster growth and success in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active South Carolina Teaching License in Special Education (required) Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs Professional, flexible, and committed to student achievement
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction to students identified with special needs in accordance with IEPs Develop and modify curriculum materials tailored to individual student goals Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student learning Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment encouraging student growth and independence Perks of the
