Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2-year-old Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their formative years. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe environment that promotes early childhood development and fosters a love of learning. Your expertise in toddler care, classroom management, and early intervention will help lay a strong foundation for each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children while collaborating with a team of committed educators. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education standards and promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills for 2-year-olds Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence while maintaining safety and order through effective classroom management Engage children in activities that foster language development, motor skills, and emotional regulation using techniques aligned with Montessori principles and other educational methodologies Monitor each child's progress through observation, documentation, and assessment tools such as standardized testing when appropriate; adapt teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with families to communicate developmental milestones, behavioral observations, and individualized support plans related to special education or early intervention needs Manage daily routines including meal times, diapering or potty training, nap schedules, and transitions with patience and consistency Maintain detailed lesson plans, behavior management records, and classroom logs to ensure compliance with childcare regulations and educational standards Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers aged 2 years old Experience in curriculum development tailored for early learners with an emphasis on literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning Proven ability to work effectively with children in daycare or preschool settings; familiarity with classroom experience requirements for early childhood education roles Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions and emotional well-being among young children Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, specialists in special education or early intervention programs Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other child-centered educational approaches Knowledge of childcare regulations, child welfare practices, and classroom safety protocols necessary for a licensed daycare or private school environment Join us in shaping the future by providing compassionate care and innovative teaching to our youngest learners!
