As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, fostering inclusive classroom communities, and supporting the developmental growth of children. Your leadership will ensure that each student receives personalized attention, nurturing their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in early childhood education and special education practices. Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional learning, and behavioral health. Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management strategies are upheld. Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists to create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs. Provide mentorship and ongoing support to assistant teachers and teaching staff to foster professional growth. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to track progress and inform instructional strategies. Incorporate speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy approaches, and early intervention practices into daily routines. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior management plans, and curriculum adjustments. Engage in continuous professional development related to deaf education, working with individuals with autism or disabilities, Montessori methods, or preschool experience. Requirements Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings; prior private school or preschool experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation for students with disabilities or developmental delays. Experience working with children who have autism, hearing impairments (deaf education), or other special needs; training in speech therapy or behavioral health is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate curriculum development principles such as Montessori or library services integration. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners. Commitment to ongoing professional growth through certifications or training in early intervention, behavioral therapy, or childhood education best practices.
