Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. In this contract opportunity tailored for the 2026-2027 academic year, you'll play a key role as a Special Education Resource Teacher supporting middle school students. This position is based in a welcoming school community near Gaffney, SC, and centers on providing targeted academic instruction and support in both push-in and pull-out environments. You will work directly with students who need additional assistance in reading, math, and other content areas, collaborating closely with both general education and special education professionals. Your expertise will help students progress academically while ensuring compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver resource instruction in reading, math, and core subjects, adapting strategies to meet IEP objectives Develop, implement, and document individualized academic programs Support students' learning and engagement within general education classrooms via co-teaching and consultation Monitor, assess, and document student progress regularly Communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues, families, and IEP teams Participate in meetings and maintain accurate compliance records
Preferred Qualifications:
