Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. Serving multiple school sites, this contract opportunity offers the chance to engage elementary, middle, and high school students within a supportive educational environment. You'll work with a variety of classroom settings, including moderate, multi-categorical self-contained, and co-taught resource rooms, developing individualized learning pathways for students with varied needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license with Multi-categorical or equivalent required certifications Previous experience in special education settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school) Capable of adapting lesson plans for a range of classroom types: self-contained and co-taught resource Ability to collaborate with a team of professionals and provide tailored support for diverse learners Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive education practices

Position Details & Responsibilities:

Serve at multiple school sites on a contract basis, working with a vibrant school community Schedule options include:

Elementary:

7 positions, 8:30am-3:35pm

Middle:

5 positions, 7:30am-2:45pm (one part-time role, 18-20 hrs/week)

High School:

2 positions, 8:30am-3:35pm Onsite work is preferred; virtual opportunities may become available closer to the school year start Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and support student academic and social growth Collaborate closely with educators, families, and specialists
