Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? Take your experience in special education to the scenic coastal region near Hilton Head Island, SC, where several contract opportunities are available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. These onsite roles are designed for dedicated educators who thrive in dynamic K-12 environments. Currently, there are four openings within different schools, each providing unique avenues to make a positive impact. Opportunities include working in intensive support/autism classrooms, as well as supporting students through supplemental and hybrid models at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Further details about specific classrooms and student populations will be provided during the interview process, allowing candidates to find the best fit for their expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Valid Special Education teacher certification Previous experience teaching students with disabilities in school settings Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt teaching strategies to various learning needs Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students' goals Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
