Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing dedicated support in special education for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity calls for experienced Special Education Teachers to work onsite with a diverse population of learners, ensuring each student's unique needs are met in a supportive environment. Two positions are available, offering a dynamic atmosphere and the chance to collaborate with a committed educational team.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active South Carolina Teaching License (required) Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred Ability to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiate instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Capacity to foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and individualized instruction to students with a range of special needs Develop, adapt, and execute IEPs in partnership with a multidisciplinary team Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary Provide consistent academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support Maintain clear records of student growth and instructional strategies used Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
