Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-5th grade students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time role. This new opening focuses on a resource caseload, ensuring each learner receives personalized instruction and support for their unique educational needs. Located near Mount Pleasant, SC, this assignment invites passionate SPED professionals to foster growth and confidence in young students within an inclusive and collaborative school community.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility in South Carolina Proven experience working with K-5th grade students in a resource or similar setting Proficiency with EdPlan or similar IEP management systems Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and interdisciplinary school staff Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to learning differencesPrimary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs Deliver high-quality instruction to students requiring additional support in a resource room setting Monitor and document student progress using EdPlan Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Maintain positive engagement with families and caregivers Facilitate a nurturing, inclusive classroom climate fostering both academic and social growth This full-time contract role offers a chance to make a daily impact in a supportive environment, working alongside educators dedicated to student success.
