Starting at $42/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking multiple dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support elementary-aged students in self-contained classrooms in Rock Hill, South Carolina . These positions will serve students with moderate disabilities who require specialized instruction, individualized supports, and structured learning environments. Teachers will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop academically, socially, and behaviorally while working within a collaborative school team. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and goals. Deliver differentiated instruction across academic subject areas. Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies. Adapt curriculum materials and instructional methods to meet individual student needs. Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation. Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and families. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning. Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required. Active South Carolina Special Education certification required or ability to obtain through reciprocity. Experience working with students with moderate disabilities preferred. Strong classroom management and behavior support skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Work Environment Elementary school setting. Self-contained classroom model. Collaborative support from administrators, therapists, and related service providers.
