  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Teacher to inspire and engage children during our vibrant summer camp sessions.
In this role, you will create a safe, fun, and educational environment that fosters childhood development, creativity, and social skills. Your energy and passion will help make each day memorable for campers, encouraging their growth through a variety of activities aligned with their interests and developmental needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, and youth engagement. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, teamwork, creativity, and physical activity across diverse age groups. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful environment. Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to health and safety protocols, including administering basic first aid when necessary. Support children with special educational needs or behavioral challenges by implementing individualized strategies and accommodations. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's social-emotional development through Christian counseling principles or other supportive approaches. Collaborate with fellow staff members to coordinate camp schedules, events, and themed activities such as theater performances or sports tournaments. Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress, incidents, or concerns. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and adaptability to meet diverse needs of young learners. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Ability to work outdoors and participate actively in sports coaching or recreational activities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and connect with children of various ages. Background in special education or experience supporting children with behavioral or developmental challenges is a plus.
