Teach to educationally and physically handicapped students.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
Bachelor Degree in Education, Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license Demonstrated organizational skills Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide an instructional program that is differentiated. Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. Commitment to high student achievement & support for all students. Knowledge of the subject matter being taught. Ability to exercise various teaching strategies to increase students' critical thinking skills Create a secure classroom climate. Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly. Use available technology in your lessons. Teach socially acceptable behavior, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement Establish and enforce rules for behavior and policies and procedures to maintain order among students. Communicate effectively with parents and students.
