Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Report to: Principal/Special Education Director Position Summary Provides specialized instruction to support student learning and achievement by implementing differentiated instructional strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and district requirements, and fostering a positive, structured classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement differentiated instructional programs to meet the diverse needs of all students. Maintain accurate and complete student records; prepare reports in accordance with federal, state, and district policies and regulations. Plan and facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines. Utilize designated software systems to manage caseload documentation and required paperwork. Demonstrate a strong commitment to high student achievement and equitable support for all learners. Apply knowledge of subject matter to deliver effective and engaging instruction. Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote critical thinking and student engagement. Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment. Analyze student performance data and adjust instruction to improve outcomes. Integrate available technology to enhance teaching and learning. Promote positive student behavior using evidence-based practices, including behavior modification and positive reinforcement. Establish, communicate, and enforce classroom rules, procedures, and expectations. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
