Full-Time or Part-Time Job Summary Special Needs Home Health Care LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Specialist to manage claims submission, payment posting, insurance follow-up, and accounts receivable for our community-based services programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Medicaid, TennCare, managed care organizations, and healthcare billing systems. Training will be provided on company-specific processes and procedures. Responsibilities Submit accurate and timely claims to Medicaid, TennCare, and other insurance payers. Verify client eligibility and authorization requirements. Review and correct claim rejections and denials. Follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances. Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile billing records. Maintain accurate client billing records and documentation. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues. Work closely with office staff to ensure service documentation supports billing requirements. Prepare billing and collections reports for management. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid regulations, and company policies. Assist with payer credentialing and enrollment processes as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Medical billing certification preferred but not required. Experience with Medicaid and managed care billing strongly preferred. Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and billing software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, be dependable and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience Tennessee Medicaid (TennCare) billing. Wellpoint, BlueCare, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, and WellCare claims processing. Electronic claims submission and denial management. Training Paid training provided. Ongoing support and guidance from management. Training on company billing systems, payer requirements, and claim submission processes.
